Christmas countdown wrapping paper.

This is my wrapping paper for Christmas countdown. I Chose to do Kiwiana I did 13 different Kiwiana things. The hardest part was tracing the gumboots. The easiest part was Doing the Kiwi fruit because you just had to go onto shapes and get circles.

Survival Fire/Cooking/Orienteering

 
                                    FIRE

This week we did three rotations to finish survival off the three rotation were orienteering fire and cooking. For fire, we made our own fire with sticks. We used the flint to try and make a spark I made 2 sparks.



                                                               Cooking

This is me eating my potato with ham and cheese on it e also made a banana with marshmallow and chocolate on it then we cooked it in the pizza oven. I rate the banana an 8 /10. I rate the potatoes a 7 /10.

Orienteering

For orienteering, we hade maps to use there were markers where the letters were. There were letters around the school. The final word was a burrito.

This is my last activity for this term I did a double-sided person it is Ghost. The hardest part was drawing it. The easiest part was drawing the lightning bolt.

Bush survival

What is the S.T.O.P acronym for survival

1. S stands for stop
2. T stands for think
3. O stands for observe
4. P stands for plan

Freshwater

1. Go to a creek/river
2. Make sure your water is clean or filter it before you drink it.
3. To find water standstill if you hear rushing water or a creek follow it.

Shelter

1. Build on flat ground so then you don't roll away.
2. Build on high ground so then if it floods you don't drown.
3. Build by a tree for more shelter.

Fire

1. You can use sticks by rubbing them together really quick the stick will get really hot and create a flame.
2. Have water so then if the flame gets too big you can put it out.
3. Rub two stones together to make a flame.

Basic first aid

1. You can use clean leaves to patch your cut up so then it doesn't bleed
2. Use pressure to stop your cut from bleeding.
3. If you get bitten by a snake then don’t cut at or around the bite.

Signalling for help

1. To signal the plane/helicopter you can start a fire.
2. You can use a mirror or any kind of glass because it will reflect.
3. You could use something that is loud like a gun but do not point it at the helicopter/plane.

Knot tying, Tautline Hitch

This knot is called the Tautline Hitch. You could use this knot for towing. The difficulty for this knot is a 4/5 because it took me quite a while to learn.

Knot tying, Reef knot

                  

       This knot is the Reef knot. A Reef knot could be used to tie a boat up. The dificulty was 2/5 because it was just a normal knot done twice.

This is the Chapter Chat I did world records one of the world records was the tallest building in the world it is called Burj Khalifa. The hardest part was finding the records on the Guinness world records website.
